A Real Patient and Doctor Discuss the Fisher Wallace Stimulator®
Does it work? Columbia University psychiatrist Richard P. Brown says he has used the device with 400 severely depressed patients and that more than 70% find relief -- about twice the rate of anti-depressants.
– The Wall Street Journal
I have had great success using the device to treat severe, chronic insomnia in patients who are resistant to pharmacotherapy. Also, patients who seek a drug-free alternative to treat insomnia have used the Fisher Wallace Stimulator to reduce or eliminate their dependence on prescription drugs.

Initially I was deep in major depression, found it next to impossible to write or do other professional work, and in spite of my own training and experience, found myself contemplating suicide at times. I've been diagnosed with bipolar disorder type II. I had spoken to my psychiatrist about the possibility of stopping my use of meds entirely, and about ECT. Through a Google search I came upon your site, and found the information persuasive. The psychiatrist was at first skeptical [but] after she reviewed your material she said simply "I'm impressed," and faxed you a prescription. I used the device regularly for about two months. Most of the time now I feel relatively cheerful, go to sleep more easily and awaken more refreshed in the morning. I've started exercising physically again, and have done more writing in the last two months than I had done in the previous year. While I sometimes feel sad or elated or angry, my affect is now within normal limits. With the psychiatrist's approval, my wife, 60 years of age, is now using the stimulator. I intend now to use it two or three times a week.
- Paul Fauteck, Psy.D
I have seen very positive results, often within the first two weeks of using the device. Approximately 75% of my patients who have been diagnosed with generalized anxiety disorder, major depressive disorder, stress related disorders or insomnia have reported positive changes.

The Fisher Wallace Stimulator has helped me considerably as I finish my battle with chronic Lyme disease. It has reduced my fibromyalgia neck/back pain more than 70% and greatly decreased the severity of my headaches. Additionally, I have noticed a relief of symptoms while enduring Herxheimer reactions, which often involve insomnia, depression, and severe anxiety. Oftentimes, it allows me to fall asleep more quickly if I use it while in bed or right before bed. Overall, the FWS not only helps me to feel better and calmer in the moment while I'm using it, but I've noticed profound and lingering effects that are assisting me in reaching equilibrium mentally and physically. A truly remarkable device and I would recommend it to anyone.

Your neurological brain device really worked for me. In less than a week, my memory improved, anxiety down, hearing improved, focus acute and the cloud in my head was lifted. My speech has more clarity now. I feel like a new person, normal again, thank you to your device. It saved my life!
I was on Abilify since 2013, but that did not help much, not to mention a weight gain of 15-20 lbs and other side effects. I did not feel any side effects whatsoever with your device. I have more motivation and energy now. I do not smoke, no drugs, drink alcohol or on any other medication, not overweight or have any other preexisting condition like diabetes, heart ailments etc. Maybe this is why it helped me tremendously, including sleeping much better at night and having normal dreams not bizarre technicolor dreams!
This technology is the way to go, as you say old fashioned pills pay cannot do for the brain what technology as yours is doing. It was mentioned on the news recently that this is the way to go for depression, anxiety and I immediately picked up my ears/eyes and started to do some research. Your device propped up under "brainwave technology " google search. There were cheaper devices but for something as important as our mind, we cannot be cheap. Then it went on sale and I immediately bought it . a great investment.
Your brainwave device virtually "lifts my brain" like a crane and keeps me there. The beauty of this innovation is that it keeps my thoughts in the PRESENT MOMENT, so my mind does not chatter with future or past thoughts. Hence the level of anxiety and fear declines. I am able to stay present as a result and accomplish much more due to brain clarity. Even half a lifetime of meditation and yoga cannot get me to this level in 20 minutes. Technology is needed to increase dopamine, serotonin, endorphins, and other brain chemicals than traditional ways cannot. Amazing technology. I have recommended it to my brother and some close friends with mental or depression issues. They are serious about it and doing research on it.
Please keep up the great research and expose it to the Californian market. It will be an instant hit as it has no side effects and has FDA approval. shuts off in 20 minutes. also, if some insurances pay for it it will be worth a try. Your product is on the cutting edge of technology, which the CA market will also relate too. Now with the Opioids treatment, this product will greatly benefit many.

But since I couldn't stop talking about my good mood and hypercharged focus, my friends stopped laughing and started asking if they could borrow it. I'm reluctant to let go of my stimulator, however.

I have used the Fisher Wallace Stimulator for several years to control pain. I have Sjogren’s Syndrome and Fibromyalgia. I use it twice a day. If I forget to use it, I am reminded because I feel severe pain. I cannot recommend this machine enough. This kind of pain relief is very important, as it has no side effects and it is really effective.

I have had a sleep disorder for 17 years and unknowingly along the way became addicted to benzodiazepines. No doctor ever warned me of these and kept renewing the prescriptions. Eventually my sleep situation worsened and my short term memory was gone. I would go nights with no sleep. I was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and was told I was dying. Two surgeries for unrelated problems later my situation became desperate. I went a whole week with no sleep and was put into ICU for exhaustion. At that point I was so fed up, I stopped all medications cold turkey. I almost died from doing that (again no guidance from doctors), and then had to slowly titrate off of benzo’s. This was a slow and painful process that took months. The good news was the I didn’t have early onset Alzheimer's but alas, still no sleep. Apparently my central nervous system was so damaged from all I had gone through that it was going to take months or years to heal. At that point I researched and found the Fisher Wallace Stimulator. I stated using it faithfully and within a week I had started to sleep better. I was now getting 2-5 hours of sleep most nights. I have been using it for probably 6 months now and just had two nights in a row of 7 hours of sleep. I have experimented at times and stopped using it and within a few days my sleep is lessened again. I now use it once per day in the morning. I use no medications and finally feel like I have my life back. I have no other explanation except that the stimulator has helped to get my sleep pattern back where it should be or at least close. After 17 years of a serious sleep issue and five years of very bad health, I am finally healing.

I was having waking periods of more than 72 hours between April 1, 2013 and September 1, 2013. I was hospitalized willingly at a VA hospital for suicidal thoughts after about 3 months straight of sleep deprivation. The VA was unable to help me sleep at all. I took two sleeping meds at once and it still took me 4 to 5 hours to fall asleep from pain induced anxiety/depression. After about 4 nights of using the Fisher Wallace device, I started falling asleep in minutes and staying asleep for 5 to 6 hours without waking. I can even fall back asleep in the early morning most days. I'm down to just Ambien now, no more Trazodone (was up to 350mg). My pain from a spine injury, as well as the associated anxiety and depression have all improved in just about 2 weeks. The Fisher Wallace device has given me hope in what I thought was a hopeless situation. I have even had a few daytime naps. Before Fisher Wallace - 2 to 3 hours of sleep in the late morning hours - or no sleep at all - while never being able to nap at all. With the Fisher Wallace device, I sleep within minutes and get 5 to 6 hours of sleep straight without fail. Thank you Fisher Wallace. I have my life back - my family has me back.

About 6 months ago, my husband and I got a new bed. I had always been able to sleep "anywhere/anytime", so this was not a big deal. However I found the new bed to be uncomfortable. We did ultimately return it, but I spent 2 months fighting with that bed and sleeping poorly. After about 6 weeks, I stopped sleeping altogether. I couldn't fall asleep at all - I just laid there all night long wide awake. Even after returning the bed and purchasing a very comfortable one, the intense insomnia didn't subside at all. Needless to say, this was awful. This started me on a journey in search of sleep. I tried OTC drugs and herbal remedies with no success. I went to my family doctor who prescribed Ambien claiming it was non-habit forming. But that turned out to be false as I developed a dependence on the drug and it stopped being effective. I went to a sleep doctor (who had no new suggestions) and a naturopathic doctor. The insomnia raged on and I spent the next months on a roller coaster - feeling exhausted, depleted and more and more hopeless. During a web search, I saw an advertisement for the Fisher Wallace Stimulator. It had never been mentioned by any of the doctors or the insomnia forums/blogs that I actively read. I purchased it in my quest for a drug-free solution. I used the independent practitioner listed on their website - the process was easy. The device came a few days later and I started using it right away. Five days later, I was falling asleep on my own just minutes after I laid down at night. It's incredible; I am actually starting to feel like myself again. I cannot emphasize the positive affect this having on my life. I highly recommend this for serious insomniacs like me. Your doctor might not recommend it, but you can get it yourself and start sleeping again.

Like most people, I had no ability to relieve the anguish my 20-year-old son was enduring. Clinical depression and its cohorts, anxiety and insomnia, had a seemingly unbreakable grip on him. I stood watching my son languish in a living hell for five years, hoping the combination of a psychiatrist and pills would stabilize him but to no avail. I read and re-read the literature and finally decided to take a chance on the device. I felt it was a shot in the dark, but had to still hope that somehow it would make a difference. After 3 days, the impossible was witnessed. My son was suddenly motivated and a much more clear-thinking, young man. For the first time since his freshman year in high school, I had caught a glimpse of the young man that had true goals and ambitions and determination. The only way to explain it is to say that it was as if he was somehow fully awakened. I am so overjoyed to report that his use of this device for three months has resulted in a complete miracle. Three weeks ago, he discontinued all medications and is doing fantastic. He is not taking any medications at all for the first time in years. His psychiatrist is nearly in disbelief and he told Tanner that he appears calmer and is a very rare case indeed. Thank you Fisher-Wallace for your efforts to market this unbelievable life changing device. I will forever be indebted. I just wish I would have not been skeptical and purchased the device a year earlier! It is wonderful to have my son back!

I’ve suffered from chronic anxiety for over 7 years. Only recently were my symptoms diagnosed as PTSD. I was very skeptical of the device but decided to try it. When I’m anxious and use the device it is almost like flipping a switch - it reboots my brain back to a resting state of clarity and calm.

I just wanted to mention what a difference the Fisher Wallace Cranial Stimulator has made in my life. I have been suffering from depression and anxiety and over the last 5 years. I have taken over 15 medications that did not improve my mental health in the least. I was convinced that I would never get better and I was contemplating suicide. My psychiatrist changed my medication one more time and I began to feel better. She then recommended I try the Cranial Stimulator to bolster the effects of the new medicine and my mood further improved dramatically. Not only do I not have suicidal ideations, but I am able to socialize with family members and I no longer have panic attacks. On days that I do not use the Cranial Stimulator I notice that I feel less energized, irritable and less optimistic about my life. I recommend this device to anyone who has any sort of mood disorder. Thank you very much for your help!

My daughter has used your device for less than a week and I am seeing a major difference. My daughter has too. She has tried multiple medicines, all with horrible side effects. She got to the point that she refused to go on meds. And that wasn't an option given her behavior. She was diagnosed with bipolar just this year. I have known that she was bi polar since she was about 4 years old. After using this device it was almost like someone flipped a switch and she is acting like she did before her disorder really showed. We talked for hours the other day, which we have not been able to do in years. She is able to focus better. The results are amazing. It is like an answer to a prayer. Thank you!

I remember feeling scattered. I was unable to think clearly or logically. I couldn’t organize anything. My thoughts blurred and my mind came to halt. I was literally unable to speak and was stuck in a slump of serious depression. The limitations finally labeled me as disabled. My body was drained and longed for sleep, but as week after week went by, the escalating loss of sleep snowballed into an insomnia that resulted in dire consequences. But now I am nowhere near where I’ve been…
Now, I can think logically and my thoughts make sense. I feel comfortably stable. My anxiety level has improved and my moods and emotions are much smoother. Insomnia is no longer an issue, and I am generally able to sleep a full night without disruption. The CES is super easy to use. For nearly a year, I’ve used the CES unit one or two times a day, and I experienced steady improvements in the way I think, feel, and go about my daily tasks and responsibilities. I am more focused and organized. I have published some articles, am working as a model and actor, and teach my dance students to the fullest. Without the support of the CES, I would still be in the midst of insurmountable struggles and would be completely non-functional.

I have occasionally experienced severe episodes of anxiety and depression over the last 30 years. This “curse” was seldom spoken of in my family, yet it afflicted many members, and no one seemed to find a conventional medical solution to the problem of anxiety and depression. I finally turned to my Harvard classmate, Chip Fisher, for some help, and he introduced me to the Fisher Wallace Stimulator. I have been using the device twice a day for over four months, as directed, and it has helped me tremendously. The Fisher Wallace therapy has helped eliminate most of my symptoms, and has enabled me to reduce my use of medication as a method to deal with these issues. My quality of life has improved one hundred percent. Thank you Chip and Fisher Wallace Labs!
